- This competition is only for law students. English shall be the only language for the competition.
- 5 minutes shall be allotted to each participant (3minutes for thinking/preparing and 2 minutes for speaking).
- A warning bell will be given at the end of 1.5 minutes.
- Time will be strictly followed. No alteration of time will be allowed in any case.
- Topic will be given on the spot. On which topic one has to speak shall be decided on the basis of chit drawn.
- Since it is a legal extempore, only law related topics will be given, e.g.-legal maxims, basic concepts etc.
- Participants must carry their own piece of paper and pen for preparation.
- Speech notes are not to be used by the contestant while presenting his/her speech.
- Second round shall be conducted in case of tie for winning/runner-up position.
- Decision of judge/judges will be final.
- All participants must report the concerned committee member 30 minutes before the schedule time of the competition.
- No alteration of participants will be allowed on the final day.
- No request from participants will be entertained in order to attend a separate event which may clash with this event.
